A weird title, I know. I was going to open this little rant up with something like, "Who cares what sexual orientation you are!" I then took a moment and thought about, what I realized was; everyone cares about sex, and also sexual orientation. So I think it is more appropriate to start with the following.

Your sexual orientation is your own business, no one else's! I am Heterosexual, my partner also shares my persuasion, I have gay friends, metrosexual friends, bisexual friends and the kind that get all messed up on hard drugs and just go where the whim takes them. Each and everyone of these people are dear to me, simply for who they are, not what they are attracted to.

I guess this post started with me finally getting sick and tired of hearing about all the fuss over the same sex marriage issue. Seriously, all you fools that are out there ranting and raving about it being wrong, against your faith in a deity, not easy to swallow (no pun intended) or if it is just plain frightening for you to think of two people of the same gender sharing their lives together. 3 words; GET OVER IT! How about you all just get your paranoid, homophobic or zealot heads out of other peoples bedrooms and into your own lives and what is happening there.

I have heard people go on and on about how they think same sex marriage will erode the fabric of our societies, but come on are you for real? I think that fire arms, poverty, low standards of education, war, drugs, political corruption, pedophiles, rapists, murderers, child abusers, religious zealots who crusade off to war over nothing more than a gut feeling (oops sorry faith) and countless other problems we have in our societies, are much more damaging than some people getting each other off behind closed doors could ever be!

People bring forth the issue of gay couples raising children and how it may be detrimental to the child. Hmmm, again are you demented? We have heterosexual alcoholics, child abusers,racists,fascists and just plain ignorant parents who look at children as being a pain in the ass. How does the fact that they like to "go it straight" better qualify them as parents? With a world full of children without care, how can people use prejudice over sexual orientation to deny a child the chance at being emotionally loved?

It is therefor my belief that anyone who is against the idea of same sex marriage should also be denied the right to marriage, to raising a family, to adopting a child, to having sex in certain states. People stand up and preach about equality, that wanker that was elected to office twice, G.W.Bush, stands up and rants on and on about spreading freedom to the world, yet when it comes to a simple basic freedom, that ultimately effects no one other than the couple involved. Suddenly those people start to look like witch hunting,book burning nazi's in my book! If you are going to preach about human rights and freedom, start practicing it!

Personally I am against the institution of marriage, I did it, was married for nearly 6 years and in the end realized it wasn't for me. Would that give me the right to oppose marriage entirely, to stand up in a public forum and call for the end to the institution of marriage for all? NO. I made my own choice on marriage, just as every single person in this world should be allowed to, free from prejudice and legislation!

Even Homer Simpson thinks its cool! And we all know that if T.V says its cool than its cool.
